This scientific gathering united leading orientalists, historians, philologists, Islamic scholars, and other specialists from Uzbekistan and abroad. The conference served as a platform for in-depth exploration of Uzbekistan’s rich scientific and cultural heritage, the promotion of modern scholarly approaches, and the strengthening of international academic cooperation.
The conference opened with a keynote speech by Prof. Dr. Bahrom Abduhalimov, Vice-President of the Academy of Sciences and Director of the Institute of Oriental Studies. Prof. Gulchehra Rikhsiyeva, Rector of the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, and Prof. Dr. Mahmud Erol Kılıç, Director General of IRCICA, also delivered welcome addresses.
During the plenary session, scholars from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Japan, Iran, Turkey, and other countries presented their research on the history and cultural heritage of Central Asia, Islamic studies, philology, and source studies.
Several panels were held within the framework of the conference, focusing on themes such as historiography and source studies, the history of Central Asia, Islamic studies, philology and literary source studies, and the history of Eastern countries. Over 80 scholarly presentations were delivered. Each session was moderated by leading experts in the respective fields, with vibrant academic discussions on topical issues.
This conference served as a significant platform for strengthening scientific cooperation, outlining new research directions, and enhancing the engagement of young scholars.
